I forgot being an official scorer makes you an expert on Dirk taking extra steps. I have never taken the time to look at it, but being an official scorer doesn't make you best qualified to judge this. It isn't tough for someone who is not a scorer to grasp the concept of a traveling violation
Did I say it makes me best qualified?
I've played competitive basketball my whole life, and continue to do so.
They don't pick anyone off the street to work NCAA games by the way.
I'd say that scoring every home game for men's and women's NCAA games
would give me advantage over most joe-blows watching the game, but
you can choose to think whatever you like.
That being said, not only did AlwayZWrong say that Dirk travels *EVERY* time
he shoots the fade-away, he said it's *BLATANT*.
So, it should be very easy to verify that there is any truth at all to what he
is saying, right? I challenge you to go look at some game tape and come back
and try and defend that position. If you'd like we can put some money on it.
I'll wager that he doesn't even travel on 10% of his fade-aways. That seems
like a fair wager to me, since supposedly it's BLATANT, right?
