New details are being uncovered about the woman said to be engaged to Dallas Mavericks player Dirk Nowitzki.
Dallas police arrested 37-year-old Cristal Taylor Wednesday morning at Nowitzki's house on a fraud warrant. Officials say she was about to be evicted from his home. It's a story we broke Wednesday on CBS11TV.com.
Reports indicate Taylor's trouble with the law began in Missouri, where friends say she lied about her identity and age to buy a car as a teenager.
She's accused of violating her parole there, and was also arrested in Houston for failing to produce identification during a traffic stop.
Just three years ago in Beaumont, she was indicted for using an unauthorized credit card to pay for $10,000 with of dental work from Doctor Joel Smith.
"Obviously we're still not going to get our money back, but I do like to see that hopefully the wheels of justice are turning," said Dr. Smith.
Police in Beaumont say Taylor sought a license to work as a stripper in the city and is still being investigated for a string of hot checks.
"I knew someday that case would be resolved, and I was just absolutely delighted to see that she had been arrested," said Beaumont Police Officer Randy Stevens.
