I bought this yesterday to watch the ASU/Stanford game and watch some out of market MLB. However, out of market MLB games are blacked out. Are the NBA and NHL out of market games blacked out too?

Yes. You have to buy the separate NHL, NBA packages. Many college basketball games are on without the package.

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

I dont watch NHL or MLB..

one thing i know for a fact, out of market games are blacked out..

(i would guess the same for mlb and nhl because of the sports package deals)

Sports package is mostly useless..Only good for regional sports talk shows.

Not true, you get ESPNU, NBA Channel (which periodically shows games), Golf, GolTV, Fox Soccer, CSTV, Versus, Big 10 Network, there are also a decent number of CBB and CFB games on the local affiliates that you would not otherwise get.

However, as others have said, you won't get NHL, MLB or NBA games without the packages.

Lots and lots of soccer channels of course.. ( never counted them.. i think there are 5 or something)

I wont say much babout cbb games (dont follow it much) but i know for a fact, CBB on those channels is a joke.

9 times out of ten you will only get games that have no official lines. (ie murry state vs Indiana or hofstra vs navy ..Crap like that.

Unless you guys have some other kind of package that i dont have. I havent seen a single legit game on any of those local affiliate channels.

There are a lot of crap CBB games on there, but the local affiliates get Pac 10 games, so you would get those. Presumably Big 10 is on B10Network, but you are correct in that most of the other big conferences (ACC, Big East, SEC, Big 12) don't have many games on there. B10Network now has 2 channels, two different games were on last Saturday morning. For $10-12/month I think it is worth it, but I also watch a ton of soccer.

Many of the CBB games that are on the hoops package can be found on the regular sports package. Also you can find many of the mid-majors that are not on the package. 5-Dimes has lines on all of the early games.

SportsPack is for college sports. You'll get those, but the professional leagues will be blacked out unless you live in that area.
