Digital Cameras?

I am looking to get a digital camera that has fast shutter speed to take action pictures? The one I have is an Olympus 8 megapix that is so difficult to take action shots. Any recommendations?

all the digital SLR cameras from Nikon and Canon will have 1/4000 or better shutter speeds.

Nikon D40, D80, D90 series
Canon EOS series
