i know this is WAY off topic, but i had to ask. has anyone around here tried these yet?

i used to build the regular descramblers so i KNOW they worked, but the last i heard nothing could descramble digital.

now im seeing stuff all over the internet about digital descrambers.

so whats the deal, do they work?

From what I hear, they're not worth it. Just pay the $35 per month to be on the up-and-up.

there are some programs out there that have some great algorythms to do that, piece of cake for them, but you got to channel the signal via the pc obviously and know the basics on how to run the program.

what you mean?

computer progs are far more flexible in terms of descramblers, but a good black market filter might do the job just as well, most dont, but some do.

For these things, I think the cable company sends out signals to crash them. Even so, I think you need to be able to upgrade to different "codes" every few months when the cable company rescrambles. No experience with this, but that's what I've heard...

the digital scrambler that attaches to the back of the box and you plug the cable into it. i tried these and they only work for stuff that you order from the remote. so you could do nfl ticket ect. the problem is after a month or so the box does not send a signal back to the company (i guess). then your box locks and you can only order over the phone.i got some of ebay and have 50 they are worthless. supposedly you can get them at radio shack. hope this helps
