I was working 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. today and I took a vacation day just so I can watch the ESPN and ESPN2 tripleheaders. I know, I have gambling problems.

Three times of year I have traditionally never been able to work....Thankgiving Friday, end of year Bowl games and March madness...Absolutely impossible to work on these days IMO!

Once well coaching high school, I left the team to go watch a Red Sox game.

I take it you must occasionally have to work on the weekend? Yeah missing NFL playoffs would suck! Also back in the day, I could never work or miss Orioles opening day...

NCAA Basketball tourney - I always fake being sick Thursday and Friday afternoons so I can watch the first round games.

I dont think that makes you a problem gambler danny. if its something you enjoy and you typically work nights, and you know there are a lot of games on then I buy it as an ok thing to do.

when you call out to watch a college basketball tournament game for the sun belt or something and its the first rd. and you have no idea who plays on either team but you gotta watch it becuase you got a good tip on it, then it might be a problem.

Kman this is no way directed at you I didnt see your post until I just finished this. (this sentance is an edit)

Thanks, glad to know I am not the only degenerate gambler.

I am going to be a slob tonight, sit around the house eating pizza, drinking pop and watching all these games. I am very excited about the next few days with bowl games and the wild card playoffs. I am off for the New Years holiday tommorow through Sunday.

I used to pay people to take my shifts years ago to watch the BigRed.

We have a rule now in place with the Rams get togethers. If you miss one week you are warned, if you miss 2 weeks you are not allowed back.

And with all the pussy, free cola and hooch, you would be a fool to miss.

Never missed work to watch a game...I find it actually more stressful watching my team suck than to just do something else and come look up the scores later.
