He threw 2 picks Sunday. Manning threw none.

If the opposite happened, everyone would be all over Manning for not getting it done in the playoffs.

Look what happens when you have a defense. Imagine Manning in his prime with a defense like the Broncos had or the Patriots had back then. He wouldn't have to throw it sayyyyy, umm some 56 times like Brady had to do Sunday. Sound familiar for those that would rip on Mannning.

I know I know, " Brady was under pressure, he couldn't get the ball off, it's the line's fault".... Yet when it happened to Peyton, it was called "Peyton having happy feet"

Choking is throwing interceptions, making errant throws, missing wide open receivers, making poor decisions. Carson Palmers performances was more in line of a choke. I dont think Brady did any of that. He just finally got his helmet handed to him. Sometimes great players get dominated, and lose. I cant think of any qb who can perform well when under constant attack, thats how you beat Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Wilson, Big Ben. Most of the time you cant get to these elite Qb's because the team has been built around them, the game is how do we keep our quarterback standing, it didnt work for Brady this time.

History matters, tradition matters, results matter. If he had Manning's post season career, you bet he'did be called a choke today

He looked horribly bad on his 1st pick, not so much after that

a great example is Matthew Stafford. When he has time to throw the ball he's as good as any qb in the league, there is no end to the numbers he can put up. When you pressure him he might be one of the worst qbs in the league.

Denver's defense exploited a suspect offensive line... Brady really couldn't do much with that kind of pressure... QB gets to much credit at times and to much blame in defeat...I do agree that Palmer choked...He had that scared look in both playoff games.. Newton probably looked like the most composed QB in and out of the pocket in the playoffs

Newton looked most composed? How could he? He's black and his frontal cortex hasn't fully developed......I gotta talk to Vlad about this.

They were getting pressure rushing just 3 or 4. There was nowhere and no time to make completions.

If Gostkowski doesn't miss the PAT early, or if Belichick kicks the FG with 6 minutes left were talking about another amazing Brady comeback win to make the Super Bowl...

Choke?? No
Play poorly?? Yes

The Denver defense played AWESOME! Only rushed 3 guys, maybe 4 at times and they got to him. Great game plan by Denver and Phillips.
When you can drop that many into coverage it gets you more defenders than receivers. Gronk was blanketed all day, Edelman too. And White could have had an impact if Brady could have connected with him but that didn't happen because White ain't no Dion Lewis, and when they had the opportunity Brady missed the throws. If Phillips chooses to blitz all game Brady picks them apart.

29 incompletions and yet they almost came back....Only if Brady saw Gronk wide open for the two point conversion MAYBE they would have won....who knows....they lost a lot of close ones down the stretch so maybe not.

Vlad, Please stop with the Manning had no defense talk....How did he go 14-2 every year without a defense?? Please. Awesome regular season record than .500 playoffs but its the defense's fault.

Whose fault is it that Manning is 3-2 vs Brady in the playoffs?

Well that was sure worth starting a whole new thread.

Not backing Vlad, but to be fair, how many different posters start NE threads on a regular basis?

Denver did to Brady exactly what the Giants defense did to him in both losses in the SB. I don't care who you are or how great you are, you need time to make throws.
