The winds of change didn't quite blow through Washington in the ways some expected, but don't let the results of the election fool you.

Nice read Bill. It is likely impossible that any attempt by the Govt (Dem or Rep) here to stop us from gambling offshore would work. Yeah, maybe they will make a law with criminal additions for the player, but trying to enforce will be very tough and likely impossible. There are many criminal laws that are not enforced for various reasons now.

Harry Reid is very pragmatic and of course pro casinos. He makes lots of efforts to protect the existing industry so that is a bit of a negative for the offshores, but the local industry's fascination with getting online some day has been part of the problem with passing legislation.

If you want Harry to change his tune all you have to do is get the AGA to change their stance that online gaming is impossible to regulate. Funny they could also obviously say it impossible to stop and that would do wonders for us as well if anyone paid heed to it.

How did they stop the use of credit cards to fund sportsbooks? I mean, it would seem that the sportsbooks could just mask who they are, but almost all sites that I try to use a credit card on get declined. How have they been so successful at this?

They put pressure on the banks. Plus the banks haven't faired very well in court when a comp gambler loses and the bank trys to collect.Such a small piece of business not worth the fight or the publicity.
