I'd like to give my plays for this weekend and thoughts.
First my my thoughts about week 8 is this could be the week to grab your favorite overs. Usually defenses banged up at this point and the good offenses have started to really click. The defenses have backups at key positions and ,also your heavy scoring teams will try to post big numbers to move up.
Also there's always that week every year where the dogs dominate the spreads and the rookie bettors take the home favorites and leads to a beating and house money wins.
Saying that , I usually like the favorites but what we see here is a lot of really good Teams as underdogs. I smell a setup. A mid season cash grab for the books. I may be off key here ,but we will see. I think I'll stay away from those games this week.
These r the games I like this week, I usually only play a few:
My biggest play/Houston -21.5 vs UCF
I know some took a bad beat in the last outing vs UCF. But not here. Temple had 4 turnovers in that game and have struggled at times offensively this year. The final was 31-16 and UCF had 3 field goals and 80 yard pick 6 as there only touchdown. They r not good on offense. On the flip side Houston is rolling and ranked #22 now with a red hot
quarterback. There coach came in from Ohio state as there offensive coordinator /now head coach. U think Ohio state is missing him at all? Prob so. Tom Herman has his team rolling and playing well on both sides of ball aka urban Meyer ess .They beat Tulane last week 42-7 and called off dogs. By the way Tulane had no turnovers in the game. Oh yeah Tulane has already knocked off UCF this year. This isn't the same UCF team of old. Not any athletes. Houston offense rolls and there defense will be stingy in this one. 52-10 Houston
other games I will play:
over 62 app state/ GS - two good teams should go back and forth maybe overtime /lean app state
over first half Baylor/Iowa state - I don't have a number yet. Don't care all baylors games go over in first half.
over 80 Baylor/Iowa state - see no reason this games any different than last few weeks. 69-24 Baylor
My two dog plays
South Alabama +3.5 - like them straight up in this one wrong team favored took a 29 point fourth quarter by Arkansas state team to get the win last week. Also they already beat sandiego state this year which isn't bad either.
Texas A & M +5.5 - (note )I'm a ole miss season ticket holder and rebel. Our pride is hurt,team is banged up, and sitting right where we was last year. Too many points to be giving up. We have a small chance but I expect to be trailing most of this game.
Also like And will most likely play
Toledo and bowling green. Both our very solid teams and favorites. Toledo looking to move up and bowling green looking to get in. Kent state is up and down and umass is going backwards. I will watch how these move and check weather before games.
