Been on a hiatus from here due to lack of funds (grad school is expensive), but all of the commercials/pop ups that I am seeing from DraftKings/FanDuel is starting to remind me of the Poker boom a decade ago. Seems like there will be a lot of public money coming into this area which means to me that there will be opportunities. Is anyone else on here working this angle as well? What kind of stats/modeling are you using?

Ive started putting 30 hours a week in to DFS football. I only play head to head and GPP. It has really pad off as Ive made some good cash.

Stats I Love:
% of teams snaps a player is on the field. EX. People J Hill but hes on the field 43% of the time and hes in tons of lineups but TJ Yeldon is cheap as hell and he plays 78% of snaps and averages 21 touches a game.Yeldon is my low cost high value player this week. He goes for 110 total yards and gets his first td this week.

-Target report- Mike Evans, Vincent Jackson, Eddie Royal, and Charles Clay are "under the radar" players who are very productive.

- Avg touches a game

-Offense vs Defense reports- never a bad Idea to target good passing teams vs terrible pass defenses, same with the run.

There is so much that goes into it and Id love to start a discussion thread for GPP... I play from 25-50 lineups in a GPP which isn't as many as it sounds.

Through 4 weeks Ive played $3,200 in gpp entries ($800 a week) and been paid $9500 or around $6300 profit and I'm currently winning 62% of head to head. I expect that % will drop but I hope not... Ive been extremely close to cashing high5 digits... D Adams got hurt on first play and got 0 points... If he wld of got 7 points I win $30000... Its that close from good payday to pop the cork payday

Also I hand select all of my lineups and every pick is shrewd.... I need to double my entries and use a generator for half and hand picked for other half...

It is soft right now but I study and research my ass off... Youd be surprised how many people pick and click 5 lineups with 0 research.. If you put in the time, you can be successful.. Just like sports betting...

30hrs is no joke. GPP's are very time consuming. I mostly play cash games and then I'll do some GPPs.

GPPs definitely have a higher ROI but it is more variance and more time consuming just making so many teams. Eventually as the h2h market gets more efficient I'll do even more GPPs but I've just always liked finding the optimal lineup on 2-3 different slates per site and scaling that out (1pm only, sunday only, reg slate, some thursday but not a huge fan of thurs slate)

A lot of ways to skin a cat.

I like a good GPP, and I've found a couple of really useful optimizers. The one I use nowadays is https://www.lineuplab.com. I've been using them for daily basketball and football GPPs, but I'm really looking forward to their launch of a baseball optimizer. Last year was a disaster for me in baseball daily fantasy, so I'm ready to get a little help.
