There aren't many teams that Carlos Pena could join, and they would consider it an offensive upgrade. Tampa Bay is one of them.
This team always scores more runs than Joe Maddon's lineup card suggests is possible. That's because Evan Longoria is one of the best hitters in the league, and Ben Zobrist is the AL's least appreciated hitter.
But with the Rays, it's all about that sensational starting pitching. Rangers fans know all about young left-hander Matt Moore from ALDS Game 1 (7 IP, 2 hits, 0 runs). And, depending upon whose depth chart you believe, Moore is penciled in as the No. 4 or 5 starter in a rotation with James Shields, David Price, Jeremy Hellickson and Wade Davis.
This team weathered the storm after losing Carl Crawford, Pena, starting pitcher Matt Garza and closer Rafael Soriano last off-season. And still made the playoffs. This is the most remarkable organization in sports.

Very under the radar with signing of Jeff Keppinger (SS, 2B), a 31 yr old who has a career BA of .273, balanced nicely vs both LH & RH
At $1.5m he should prove a significant upgrade to Reid Brignac's sub .200 avg with utterly no power
Current roster allows Maddon to do with Pena what he did in later half of 2010 AL East championship run. That is - bat him 7th instead of letting him burn out either the 3rd or 4th slot with his own .230 BA
