Daunte Culpepper - QB - Lions Furrey: Lions leaning towards keeping Duante
Culpepper is due $5M in salary and bonuses, but Furrey said other Lions' QBs were informed he'd be Detroit's starter. Furrey is probably getting this information from close pal Jon Kitna, who hasn't been around team headquarters. We'll know Culpepper's situation by February 27. February 15

this guy is finished because of his knee. But he's not reaaly any less mobile than Kerry Collins, they will need an exceptional O-line or it's fumble-mania time.

Give them Jake Delhomme and I'll be happy.

culpepper is at least a stable vet, mentally knows how to play.. can get 1 year more out of him and then go another direction. probably enough to win 4-5 games.. I would like this because it means probably going OL with the 1st pick, and then heavy on defense. at least get a real group of football players before throwing a young guy back there.

Fumblepepper sucks. He is a big fat lazy piece of shit and not a guy that can lead your team. Even at his best, he was more worried about doing his silly gig after his TD passes then learning how to play.

His QB and the stats don't even paint a picture of how bad he sucks now, because all of those fumbles make his value even worse than he is.
