Dennis Erickson & 49ers

Erickson replaces Tim Rattay earlier in game with Ken Dorsey. Dorsey plays fairly well, going 9-15 111 yards and taking San Fran to their only points of game, 2 field goals.Erickson then, for some reason, puts Rattay back in the game,who then immediately throws an interception which is returned for a TD. Someone who may have been watching the game please let me know if Dorsey was hurt and if that's the reason he was replaced, because if not, Erickson has proven to me once and for all that he has no clue.......

Actually the Dorsey int. was not returned for a TD. The Falcons did score on a short drive because of it though. Now Rattay just took the Niners on a long TD drive.

Thanks Wil, just saw that. If Dorsey wasn't injured, I still see no reason for Erickson to pull him back out. This isn't the college game, can't be swapping QB's every other possesion like Spurrier did with QB's at Florida......

Dennis Erickson is not only a poor coach, but the Niners no longer use the same version of the West Coast offense as they did under Walsh, Siefert, and Mariucci. Besides that, the Niners have very, very little talent. It will be a long season for the them. They got a lucky cover today but will be embarrassed in many games throughout the season.
