why is this a bad thing? He stood up for himself!

"The Republicans have tried to make a practice of attacking anybody who speaks out strongly by questioning their patriotism," the Massachusetts senator said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press. "I refuse to have my patriotism or right to speak out questioned. I fought for and earned the right to express my views in this country."

Having served in the military does not give one a 'pass' in stupidity.

Let me tell you about John Kerry, he is one of the phoniest fxckers to walk the planet..In Mass. he says hes Irish, then he goes to a NY fundraiser with a lot of Jewish people and claims that he is jewish and just found it out that morning, and really meant it....people up here were laughing their ass off at him saying he is the only guy around that wears a green yamaka.
Depending what group he is speaking to he is either for the war or aganst it.
If the war goes well he will say that he gave Tommy Franks the idea.....Another gutless phoney democrat.

typical politician- he answers a question that was not asked when he is in the wrong. no one questioned his right to speak out or his patriotism.

what was questioned was the stupidity of calling for regime change in the US when the current president calls for regime change of a mass murderer who is at war with the US.

Is Kerry really french? with that kind of backstabbing, it seems undeniable. I call for an investigation into his heritage. their has to be a french wing in his blood.

this guy is DOA as a presidential canditade.

Smitty, he has to appeal to the far left wing of the democratic party to win the primary. The bumper sticker crowd who if they spent as much time on resumes as they do painting signs they would not have time to protest they would have a job.

There's actually nothing wrong with what he said.
First of all, Bush looks more like a dictator than any president than any we've had in a long time. Secondly, as I've pointed out time and time again one of the principals our country was founded on is that it is a civic duty to resist the government when it is wrong. Lastly, the crime of stupidity here was Bush saying regime change, in other words kick Saddam that he doesn't like out and set up his very own regime (as opposed to a free nation, little Freudian slip there).
One can safely make the assumption that Kerry's comment was at least in part a little sarcastic making fun of the stupidity of Bush's comment.

Regardless of the war and its outcome,I would be very scared of a second Bush term.Who knows how many rights the Americans will lose in an extra 4 years.Powell for President!!!!!

Bush is one scary "compassionate conservative". It will be interesting to say the least when the 2004 campaign starts. Which is really only about 3 months away.

What the hell is this about? Kerry said what all candidates say...we need a new President. Only DeLay and his buddies could be outraged at someone saying we shouldn't re-elect Bush. Just because you're at war, doeswn't mean you can't argue against the President's re-election. Good for Kerrey for not backing down and standing up for himself. He is 100% right that we will need a new Admin and new approach to mend the broken fences around the world. The Repubs have picked a really stupid fight on this one.

New York City's former Democratic mayor, Ed Koch, warned Mr. Kerry that he "is going to end up on the garbage heap" for what he said.

I wasn't implying that he didn't. I was stating that I think what he says is correct. They will send this one to the garbage heap for practicing his "free speech".

John Kerry.....Who is this fvcking guy. I had never heard of him until we started running his mouth. His reputation was better when he wasn't talking. I hope this guy is the leading Democratic candidate. If so, the Republicans are golden!!!!!!!!
