Thursday
Buffalo -3 UTEP - Really like the matchup here, especially with UTEP going cross-country. Buffalo's an underrated team that has some good players.
Wake Forest -12.5 Baylor - Baylor is well Baylor, and Wake Forest is a fantastic team. Don't like laying this many points on the road, but I'm gambling on it
Stanford +3 Oregon St. - Don't sleep on a good Stanford DL/OL + the best back NO one has heard of, Toby Gerhart. Hopefully he'll be healthy this year, but should put up good number against a retooled Oregon St. front 7.
NC State +13 South Carolina - Call this more of a hunch than a cap, I think NC State is a team on the rise with Tom O'Brien. I like the QB choice they made, and do have some quality RBs. South Carolina's QBs are still a mess so I see this one being more of a close game control game that I'll gladly take the points in.
Friday
Rice -3.5 SMU - Say what you want about Rice, they still have a stellar offense. SMU has to be in flux without Willis. Love the home team.
Temple -7 Army - Temple is another bottom cellar on the rise and Army is abysmal this year. Tough to lay 7 points; after all it is Temple, but DiMechele being back is a huge difference.
Saturday
Utah +3.5 Michigan - Had this game circled for awhile becuase I think the world of Utah. Very balanced team with now a great 1-2 punch at RB and a great QB in Brian Johnson. Michigan has a good defense (not great) but it's hard for me to believe they have adapted to RRod's system, I see a jumbled offense not producing much.
Ole Miss -7.5 Memphis - Now that Ole Miss has a QB in Jevan Sneed watch out, they may win a few games they aren't supposed to. Only giving single digits to a club like Memphis as a home opener almost seems too easy. Ole Miss has good WR and a good defense. They should roll easy.
Wyoming -10 Ohio - Everyone has said their opinion enough out this game, it's a popular one.
Clemson -5 alabama - Never was a fan much of Alabama last year and JPW will stagnate with a new corps of WR. I don't care how good Julio Jones is, he is still a freshman in his first game.
Oklahoma St -7 Washington St - I have to imagine the Cowboys have a better Defense this year with the influx of JC talent, althought it never seems to work out that way. Regardless, their offense should mantain it's impressive explosiveness. Washington St. is the worst team in the Pac-10. Their defense is horrid which will play right into Oklahoma St. They will never stop them. This could be a good over play if Washington St was in such transition on offense. New system, and even with a GREAT QB in Alex Brink last year they never did much. Oklahoma St. easy
Monday
Fresno St. +6 Rutgers - Fresno and Utah are the best Non-BCS teams, and they are very good. Brandsteer and Matthews is an awesome combo for Fresno, and we'll see how good Teel is for Rutgers without the major benefit of Ray Rice. I'm frankly not optimistc on Rutgers. Pat Hill lives for this type of game and they finally have both sides of the ball ready this year for the first time since they almost knocked off USC.
Tennessee -7 UCLA - I've been waiting for this game for at least 6 months. I pledged no matter what the line I'd bet it. I've made this the biggest bet of my life. Nothing is a guarantee but I hope this one works out. Long writeup I did here

Their OL is just so bad, think Notre Dame last year bad. This will be a repeat of GTech/Notre Dame last year in a LOT of ways. There's a lot of comparisons. Add to that Kevin Craft? Some people are excited because he was the #1 JC player last year, but JC ratings don't translate as well as people think. This guy throws tons of picks and is very innacurate so far in UCLA camp. The impressive Tennessee secondary should thrive
