Delaware Sports Betting

I saw some people talking about this the other day, so I thought I'd share just how crappy the system is.

Betting opened today at 12pm, and I arrived at Delaware Park around 12:30.

The track was actually pretty crowded, but the sports betting section was EMPTY, and rightfully so.

Only parlays and teasers of 3+ teams are accepted, so I input my 3 team, 6 point teaser of Steelers PK, Carolina +8, Skins +12.5.

The odds on my bet? ONE to ONE!!!! So I said f**k that and left. That should be paying 1.8/1. I can't wait until they complain about how the system failed in a few months. Cheap bastards. I'll stick to the online stuff for now.

thats only temporary buddy , the panel of judges shot them down so thats all they can offer right now but it was supposed to be singal betting action but nfl complained and won the latest round of court but once its all said and done i think it will be like we all want it to be with the right odds and so forth , cant wait cuz im not far away

yeah i was all ready to go down to and chill down there all day but they thru a wrench in it at the last second , the state was shocked too cuz the ruling really caught them off guard but they have millions tied into this so im hoping it works out theres alot at stake for del here ....gl bro!!! go eagles

My buddy and I were thinking of going to Delaware one of these weekends, but now that I know this info I most definitely will not be going, sounds terrible. Lets hope they can work it out with the NFL and the courts.

I think you're wrong. I've been following it pretty closely (I live 5 minutes away, and betting on sports is pretty much my job), and it seems VERY unlikely that this will get reversed again. In fact, it is quite possible that Delaware will not even file an appeal.

Either way though, that wasn't the point of my thread. My point was that Delaware is waaaaay to greedy, and is hiking up the juice to ridiculously high rates. Even if they were to offer single game bets, nobody who takes betting seriously would be willing to play if the juice isn't competitive.
