r1: magnetic place. this is a very competitive group of maidens. on the q tea should acquit herself well from the inside, headly has the speedball winsome dame (by siphon who could turf), and baltic nations is a 1/2 to freakshow caller one. so, i'm going to back second timer magnetic place. this diminutive filly should relish the sprint distance and need only break well from her outside post position. she's 9/2 right now and that's fair value to me.
r4: bust your bubble. here's a gelding who should relish the stretch out and the move to turf. he's got the right style for the turf course profile as you don't want to be anywhere near the front. he's in against a bunch of non-descript colts and geldings and is a good gamble at 5/1.
r8: smartie britches. let's end our day with julie on a longshot. puype's numbers with firsters are very strong and while i don't love the 12-hole for first timers, he should be all gassed up to run well. mr purple could route and sprint so i look for julie to break this one in the second flight and have him in good position turning for home.
