let's start into another winning weekend on german ice.
So far this season 35-11 (+27.79 units)

two plays for friday:

Nürnberg - Köln (gametime 1.30 p.m ET): köln to win (2.2) for 1 unit

simply going with the stronger and hotter team here.
köln,the defending cahmp and league leader, is comeing off maybe their best game of the season. they won 4-0 at home against mannheim in an inspired game on sunday. the way they played against a strong mannheim team (also one of the best three in the league) should give them an extra boost to their confidence... and this was high before that game. köln right now is really focusing on getting the top spot in a close race between the first three teams and is playing great defense right now + a the best power play in the league.
this should be enough to get an away win over nürnberg, which is just not playing solid hockey at the moment. they struggle to get points against weak teams, playing lots of close matche there and are loosing against the top teams. they are also not very strong at home.

Kassel - Mannheim (gametime 1.30 pm ET): Mannheim to win (2.2) for 1 unit

mannheim, one of the three dominant teams in the league, struggled lately in away games ( 3 losses). this is an area, where they are usually the top team in the league. Funny thing is that all three losses came against teams of the same area in germany (it'S like loosing on a west coast trip to LA,San Jose, but winning in all other playces in the country).
they were dominant in away games before these three and they played good hockey in sunday's loss against köln. meanwhile they are winning all their home games quite easy, so there is defenetly no slump. I look for them to get back on track and get an away win here against a much weaker team than the three they lost before.

kassel, even though the found a little bit of form lately, is still one of the weakest teams in the league, and i don't think they can hold off a mannheim team which will put everything in this game to stay in the hunt for the top spot with berlin and köln.

BOL to all and see you on saturday for sunday's DEL games.

So far this season 37-11 (+30.19 units)

all games starting 12.30 am ET

not much to do for today as i'll go with the favourites on home ice:

Düsseldorf - Nürnberg : Düsseldorf to win (1.7) for 2 units
Düsseldorf is currently in 4th place and the only team that can keep pace with the three top teams.
they are comeing in this game well rested as they did not play on friday. they are strong at home and they have quite a good streak running.
Nürnberg is a team which does not play consistent and is trying to make the play offs. they had a good game in friday's home loss against köln and are due for a let down tonight. also they are not especially good in away game.
Looking for a home win of the much better team here.

2-team parlay: Mannheim to beat Augsburg (1.35) + Köln to beat Kassel (1.55) for a combined (2.09) for 1 unit
Mannheim should be an easy winner. they got an much needed away win on friday and as said before in home games have no problems this season to put teams away.(7 home wins in a row). They will keep pace with köln and berlin.
augsburg is not a team that could stop them. i rank them as one of the 3 weakest teams in the league, especially in away games (6 straight losses).

Köln the top team right now, followed the home win over mannheim with an away win on friday( as expected) and a currently the hottest team in the league playing with high confidence.
but this could be a tough one as kassel regrouped the last few games, and is getting wins on home ice, while playing very close games away. but still i think the much better team will get the win here at home.

for those, who are wondering, why i'm not going with berlin winning at iserlohn: sure they are the much better team, but i just have not agood feel for tonight. iserlohn played very good at home lately, alos agianst the top teams, and this one could end in a surprize here.

BOL to all on german ice

a mixed day today: going 1-1 (+0.4 units)
Now 38-12 (+30.59 units) for season

köln had problems ,as i thought it would be a tough game.

But the 2 unit play with düsseldorf was an easy 4-0 winner .
see you next week on german ice
