Last Week's Results:
L 10/1 Furyk
L 12/1 Mahan
L 15/1 Casey
Mahan's final round boosted him into 2nd place, but Tiger needed to shoot 1 under on the back 9 to win the tournament; and we all know that is like taking candy from a baby for Tiger on Sunday.
Overall Record Breakdown in terms of tournaments: (1-2 +$40)

John Deere Classic Preview:
Gotta love the tournaments that Tiger is not in. This enables us to take 5 or 6 guys with the lowest odds being around 10/1. Kenny Perry is playing great golf right now as he is the favorite at 9/1 this weekend. I saw a stat that showed how much better he has been since he turned 40, but cannot remember the exact numbers. Something like 3 wins before 40, and 10 wins since he turned 40. Coming in second is Steve Stricker at 14/1, who has been playing pretty good this year, with a 1st, 2nd, T3rd, T4th, T6th, and T7th; which is pretty solid. In my opinion, Stricker is a great Top 5 bet for this weekend. Don't forget that this tournament is being played just 3 hours from Stricker's hometown of Madison, WI.
Then we get to David Toms at 14/1, as well. Toms has yet to win a tournament this year. He has tied for 2nd place twice. In fact, Toms hasn't won a PGA tournament since January 15th, 2006; where he won the Sony Open in Hawaii. Is he washed up? Or is he due for a win? I don't see a reason to be betting on him until he atleast gets a win. Good ole Zach Johnson coming in at 18/1, who is also playing just an hour drive from his home town of Iowa City. Johnson has two wins this year, and I have been impressed with his play, other than the two majors, which he missed the cut easily. The thing holding Johnson back is that he just hasn't performed very well at this course; but I would gladly back him at 18/1. Lucas Glover has been playing great golf, and he also comes in at 18/1. I just think it was a 1 time thing with his win at the US Open. Then again, he did show great composure, and hit some very good shots.
Now we begin to level off into the 30/1+ range. A few guys that I like in order of odds:
28/1 Ryan Moore: Has been playing aggressive and getting birdies. He is a good young guy to back; at just 27 years old, he is hungry for the first win of his career, and what better time than a tournament without Tiger, Phil, and the other big name players.
50/1 Bryce Molder: Finally getting a little respect. He has been playing great golf lately. He has quietly taken T2nd at the St. Jude Classic, and 4th at the AT&T National, all in the past 3 weeks. I'll back him again.
66/1 Cameron Beckman
66/1 Bo Van Pelt

I'll post my plays sometime today or tomorrow. They will most likely be names that I have brought up in the preview; just trying to decide how many players I will be taking.
