Years ago I read about this in a gambling book.
It says to fade a team off a loss that appeared to be a win. The explanation was that teams suffer an emotional letdown after a devestating loss and often they are still reeling going into the next game. I've seen it work in many sports with varying degrees of success.
I think this applies to the Rockets tonight. The game on Sun was all but over with Rockets up 4 with the ball in the last minute of OT. They managed not only to lose, but also blew the cover.
But since picking the Lakers goes against my capping methods, I will take a pass here.
Any and all comments are welcome.
