By waiting until then to finaly admit that "yes" AH was there at the time of the shooting, they negated all their cross examinations.. And protests that "we don't know whose tire tracks, footprint could be, certainly not our client". W/O that I believe there was a chance for a not guilty at best, or a hung jury. Just my humble opinion.

I dont know why they did backtrack with that either. I still think he would have been convicted since the motive didn't even have to be shown exact and conviction still happened. Guy is a serial killer with more than the 2 bodies we know about IMO

He still must have had a hell of a defense team to keep this jury out for a week. I was beginning to think with all of the circumstantial evidence that it was going to turn out like the Casey Anthony case. I'm glad they were able to flip the holdouts.

I don't think it was a matter of "holdouts". Given the amount of evidence and the precise and meticoulous nature of this jury, 35 or so hrs is not an inordinate amount of time.

I've been on 2 different jury's in slamdunk cases, and there was ALWAYS a holdout.

Jury's are such a joke to begin with. Most people will just go along with everyone else so they can get the hell out of there. On trials like this, arent jurors not allllowed to have phones, are sequestered to hotel rooms etc. Basically have no contact with a TV or their families. I've been on 2 jury's. Only 1 was a hardcore life sentence crime and alot of those guys just were like "yeah I feel ya". On 1 jury, I couldn't help but stare at this girls tits. You could see her nipples through her bra. Hehe

And they haven't even started the double homicide that he's linked to in Boston. And isn't there an ongoing investigation going on in the Gainsville, FL murders? He better hope they don't find anything since Florida has the death penalty. They are pretty much like Texas, they won't hesitate to kill you..

If I were him, I would prefer the death penalty and I would want it done today. What is the point of life in prison. They should just have just shot him on site.

Much of how the jurors react to a trial is dependent on how good the defense team is and how much circumstantial evidence is involved. Most of these petty criminals can't get a good defense lawyer.

The problem is it costs more these days to execute them than it does to keep them in jail the rest of their life. Court costs are horrendous. They should make these rich bastards pay for ALL of the court costs and their own execution and appeals.

:):)Don't know where I read it but, the story goes that when Hernandez was a rook Welker took him aside to give him some Vet's advice on how to conduct himself. Supposedly H said "STFU or I'll off ya". No wonder Welker was glad to be traded.
