DDOS activity picking up?

I'm looking for reports of sites that are down or have been down in recent days because of DDOS attacks. Do people find the number of attacks has gone up with the big game next weekend?

I'm also interested in first hand accounts of folks who have had trouble placing bets online (not over the phone) because of unresponsive sites.

Finally, if anyone knows of sports books that have beat the Russians using a technology fix (brass knuckles included), I'd be interested in hearing about it.

Feel free to email me directly: proidg@comcast.net.

Thanks,

Paul

Yeah the hackers are so serious about this one that they have a backup plan. They are going to have 1,000 Russians in Vegas for them. They are going to stand in every betting line in town with a pile of 100 parlay tickets, all for $2 or $5 each, depending on house minimum and start standing in line at about 2:30pm effectively blocking out all last minute bets.

They will be quoted as saying, "Bring back 3-2 on blackjack or we ask for 4 team parlay in bad english so clerk don't understand nothing. When he gets to final team we say, no you got it all wrong, I want to tease all that for $5."

I will bet you that most books in the carribean and costa rica aren't finding the humor in your post. But what the hell, people need to have a little sense of humor, don't they?
