I have watched Dayton play some very good basketball this year against Auburn and Marquette mainly. Is there any reason why I should not take Dayton +6.5 (may buy a half point) at Creighton?

Creighton's offense can put up some more points but Dayton's Defense is nothing to laugh at. I am pretty sure I am taking Dayton with the points unless someone can talk me off the ledge.

Thanks in advance.

Dayton has really played good i agree and have some nice wins to show for it..

Creighton is picked to win the MVC but 2 losses to less than stellar opponents.. i think over-rated

I really like that dayton pick and plan to make it as well

I graduated from UD, so I like to think I have good insight on the program. This is the first year that I think Coach Gregory can't argue he doesn't have the talent. He has the experience with the balanced scoring as well as they play great defense.

Marcus Johnson is a junior already, seems like just yesterday he was a struggling freshman. He, along with super soph Christ Wright bring the balance on offense while the experienced Huselman and London Warren are great stouts on defense.

I might be a little biased, but I've always doubted coach gregory, and I've always thought he struggled to succeed, even with the talent we've had.

I took UD in the H2H contest +6

I have followed dayton ever since like 2003 ncaa tournament.. They came to spokane for their first round game as a 4 seed and got spanked by tulsa... but their band whom i was sitting next to was just funny as hell so i started watching their games whenever i could... haven't been as good since

I'll give it to you that Dayton's got some good stuff going on right now but Creighton comes to play at home. As a road team they just don't show up and play down to their opponent's level. The Creighton-Nebraska game has come to be a bit of a rivalry game, so really anything can happen against them, but the Bluejays really shouldn't have lost that game. Coming off a win at St. Joseph's where they looked the best they have all year, I think that Creighton will be fired up. Also add in that their (arguably) best player P'Allen has resolved some coaching issues and is back in the lineup I think everyone will be playing their hearts out.

Also note that they live and die by the three, so if they're falling early Creighton will be tough to beat.
