Does anyone else out there think that these ML are a little ridiculous today? Every UD is paying at least +230...
Buffalo has been a pleasant surprise this year, they can score, and god know the Avs can give up goals, but can Biron stop the all-world Colorado forwards?

Phoenix is horrible, but it seems like his entire career Sean Burke has been the best player on his team, every night he gives his team a chance to win... he got his ass handed to him by Toronto the other day, I see a big time game out of Burke, its just whether or not the Coyotes score enough.

Anaheim is horrible, I think the entire board agrees with me... Chicago is decent, but noone should be a +250 underdog against Anaheim, under any circumstance.

Im looking to take all 3 dawgs, and parlay them too... paying 41 to 1. Yee haw.

once again we have a situation here i don't understand.

the hawks are a bigger dog to the worst of the 2 teams in so cal then they are the better one?

HOW!

a know chic is B2B - but against the (not to) mighty ducks - who should NEVER be a $3-ish fave over anyone.

The 5o +126 in the Hawks-Ducks game looks pretty inviting as it's backup goalie night for both teams.

I don't believe in that theory, and I think most people will agree with me... just because a backup goalie is playing, it usually doesn't not effect the outcome of the game unless a goalie is really hot, or has a bad day, both of which are prone to any goalie, starter or backup. A backup goalie isn't going to give that many goals more than the starter, in fact if you look at most GAA, the backup has a similar or sometimes lower GAA than the starter...(in cases where there is 1 dominant starter i.e. NJ, Ana, TB, Det, etc ) why that is, I'm not sure (defense plays better, the backup relishes his chance to start). Don't let the backup goalies effect your plays too heavily, and definitly don't base your play on just that fact.

MP, I disagree. Most backup goalies are 0.500 goalies and their save percentage is invariably worse than the starter. In the rare cases it is even close (eg Legace in Detroit who should be a starter), it's due to the starter getting almost all the starts and the backup riding the pine so he doesn't face the offensive machines like Vancouver or Colorado too often, hence a misleading GAA. Save percentage is the better goalie evaluation measurement.

In terms of winning percentage, I would never believe that the backup cannot affect the outcome any differently than the starter could. Who plays net should be a huge part of capping a hockey game. Look at Colorado last year - Roy and Aebischer. I'd rather back Roy vs NJ, Det or any of the big teams than the backup. Every team is always looking for a number one goalie. You can't win the Cup with a backup but you can sure lose with one.

Pretty big night, split my plays between the goal lines and ML, so it was a big big night.

Man the floodgates were open in Anaheim! Another shootout between backup goalies, kudos to whoever had the over! Oh wait, I keep forgeting, you can't sense sarcasm in type. Whoops.

Why? Because I'm right?

I think anyone is pretty ignorant to think that Vegas isn't aware of the starting goalies in an upcoming game. Anyone who solely bases their plays on who is starting in net is a moron. I'm not trying to insult anyone, I'm trying to offer some help, advise, or whatever. Maybe I shouldn't have been a dick, it's only 1 game after all. But I'm still right.
