The reason I asked was I went to Davidson and I was talking to a buddy of mine, davidson grad, who works with a guy from Duke. They were trying to make a bet on what the line would be tomorrow. I thought perhaps there was a book someone out there might be linked to that had early lines a day or so in advance, therefore giving my buddy a little inside information if you will.

Problem with Curry is if he is on his game, they cover and always have a chance to win.

If he pulls up on fast breaks at the 3Pt line and consistently shoots within first 10 seconds of the shot clock they lose.

The reality is that his supporting cast is not as bad as everyone thinks they are. Curry does have to PLAY a good game in order for them to beat the big teams, but he does not have to SCORE all the points.

Duke will keep him in check tomorrow. No doubt about it.

Who will they put on him? I really think Duke will struggle to keep Curry in check. He scored 20 last year on 8-17 with 4-7 3pt. I know he had Jason Richards at point, but I don't see how Duke will keep him in check. Who will guard him all game?

Is Curry the only play on Davidson that knows where the hoop is? Coach K will shut him down.

Davidson snuck up on everyone last year and they got Duke at a nuetral court when people didn't know Curry could win a game by himself. Curry will be priorty #1 and no one plays better team defense then Duke. Playing in Cameron won't help. Not to mention Curry has played like shit as a point guard this year and Duke will take advantage of that.

Yes they got them on a neutral court, but I have been to those Davidson "home" games in Charlotte against both Duke and UNC. They are far from "home" games or neutral. They are dominated by 80+% Duke and UNC fans. The neutral court is in Charlotte, NC. Not like they played 1000+ miles away. Its less than 2 hours from Duke.

Anyway, you may be right. They might do a good job of shutting down Curry. I personally think they will try to shut him down as a point guard, therefore shutting down his teammates. I think a team like Duke knows that it isnt important to stop Curry from scoring, but it is important to stop him from having a great game and getting his team involved. IMO the key to stopping Davidson is controlling his teammates and forcing him to think the game is on his shoulders.

Agree with Gimme here they are gonna make life hell for Curry. He may get his 30 but it will take too many shots to get there and Duke will be able to force alot of turnovers as they attempt to funnel the ball to Curry. Duke thrives in the transition game and this is a good matchup for them (a guard-heavy 1 dimensional team). I think Duke wins by 15 or so.

That being said...I think Curry has no problem scoring 30 points tomorrow. I think the problem is that Duke will take away his teammates, force him to put the game 100% on his shoulders, and cause him to shoot erratically, too frequently, and too fast. This is his biggest downfall so far IMO and I have watched many of their games this year.

I think the last thing they want to do is have Curry put on the game on his shoulders. I think they would rather have someone else attempt to beat them.
