The way it looks to me, it'll be LA and somebody............probably Orlando. I give Denver a lot of credit but the experience factor is heavy in LA's favor having been to the finals last year as a team as well as Kobe's rings. Denver's mental lapses/execution failures are going to be the deciding factors in the end.

thanks jet,

every year we start a pool (winner take all) to see who will be the finals mvp when the playoffs begin. While most was on <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />kobe, lebron, d.wade, r.allen… I was the only one to pick mello. Started with bout 70 of us and now down to bout 42 or so...my chances are slim but there is a chance

why would he kill himself. spurs were in finals for years and had no star power.

orlando/denver final would probably be more entertaining then la/cle and you still have the star power. Melo, Howard are huge names and mainstream fans who are bandwagon fans will enjoy these offenses more then LA's and Cleveland's.

If Orlando gets through they will defeat LA or Denver, either one.

The Magic owned the West this year.

Actually they've owned most of the league, including the Cavs & Celtics, but ran into the problem of losing Jameer Nelson & had to adjust without him & new PG Alston....

hache, you agree with me right on orlando/denver being entertaining?

LA & Cleveland both play restricted offenses, heavily in sets, the way I enjoy, but not your typical mainstream bandwagon fan.

Bandwagon wants to see a faster pace with more 3's and dunking, and less defense.Thats Orlando and Denver.

Stern's the one fixing games! Why would he kill himself? The NBA is fixed and everyone makes their money and Orlando and Denver both have a pretty good following. Well, the series have to go 7 games and the Lake Show and Cavs will both prevail. No worries for Stern he is just Livin the dream!

I agree with you about the entertainment factor, and even thought the hard core NBA fans will tune in, a Magic/Nugget final will not bring in the casual viewer that a LA/Cle final would.

Orlando/Denver final will never happen... Stern won't allow it...

You know that he fixes and manipulates series outcomes...

Are you guys kidding me? LAL vs CLE is what the NBA and David Stern wants. That matchup will bring in the most tv ratings and the most money for the NBA.

Just look at all the hype on these boards for Lebron vs Kobe. Its like that everywhere, at every water cooler, every office, every house, almost every bball conversation. All this advertising by the NBA in the media is working. Lebron vs Kobe is the talk of the town, and its what everyone wants to see.

Nobody really cares about ORL vs DEN. Ya, they have Melo and Dwight, but those guys are definitely no Kobe and Lebron, and dont' pull in the same money or ratings. How is ORL/DEN game more entertaining than seeing the 2 best players in the NBA try to prove who's the best?

Stern wouldn't kill himself, but he would definitely be very dissapointed from a business standpoint if its not LAL vs CLE.
