Well boys, I was out running Saturday morning errands and caught some of a local sports radio show that covers all local pro teams.
And they were discussing the "well known info" that David Price is likely to be on a pitch count today of 50 to 60 pitches maximum.
"Well known" meaning that everyone in the clubhouse is talking it, but neither the Rays nor Joe Maddon have made any formal declaration to the beat writers.
This jives with what they were doing with him in Durham (AAA).
All in all, not likely a bad deal since Rays long man Lance Cormier has been extremely consistent in the first two months of the season.
He's worked 37 IP with a 2.19 ERA and 1.05 WHIP
Additionally, lefty JP Howell is in steady form with 27 IP and a 2.28 ERA and his own 1.05 WHIP
Think this could mean Price into the 4th inning, followed by Cormier for three and Howell for two (ideally)
