Interesting. All I know is that I went to the Neteller exhibition at the gaming show in Montreal and asked if David K was around. They told me he was no longer with the company.

Someone posted the same thing at recpoker.com. Folks, this is an earthquake waiting to happen. I like them and have used them but if states can now tell them not to accept their residents it could put them literally out of business. The reason NJ residents can't use US-based horse betting servives is because one day the state's attorney general declared that it was "illegal". Something similar could've happened here. Someone from neteller better come and explain this.

And if Dave K isn't there anymore, who IS minding the store there? Vega???

Banned,

I think you're overreacting. Neteller is a large company with a lot of employees and a very competent CEO that I believe comes from a fortune 500 background. It's not like David K was sitting at a desk running Neteller.

They're also opening up to the U.K. and China in September. They are growing, not shrinking.

Thanks Wanna.

I would think since they advertz. here and he was well known(DavidK) that SOMEONE here might find out.

I'm just another dummy

Wanna

I may have overreacted by saying they'll go out of business (but if more and more people in the US can't use them, where will their business come from?). But I'm not overreacting when I say that this large company NEEDS to spare one of their many employees to respond to these questions. I'm a Neteller customer and I've got <JJgold fever> right now about this situation and I'm gonna keep bumping this thread until SOMEONE there can answer these questions:

Is it true that Maryland customers are being blocked from some or all of your services?

If so, why and can the same thing happen to residents of other states?

And there may be some curious what happened to Dave K and who is running things there now.

Hello Everyone,

I apologize for the delay.

I will first start with letting everyone know the David K scoop.

David Kahane is no longer with NETeller. He is currently working full time for an associated company called Pro-Billing Inc.

Now, to respond to the MD situation.

NETeller has chosen to not accept deposits from the state of Maryland at the current time. This is due to a dispute with their state government regarding money transmitter laws.

Pardon this dummy, but a dipute by whom Neteller or the State of Md. (?)

Am I correct here in stating that it was Neteller's decision or someone other than Neteller to do this?

Will we get ANY reply from Neteller?
With Mr. David K leaving in the last "several" days for another company--what impact -IF ANY does this mean?

link

The above link (to a Maryland state government page) may explain it, if anyone can translate the language these lawyers use when writing their laws. It looks to me like they raised some fees on out of state money transmitters but like I said someone else can cut through the mumbo jumbo.
