Darrius Heyward-Bey-WR- Raiders Aug. 2 - 10:08 pm et

Rookie Darrius Heyward-Bey dropped three passes in one 7-on-7 drill at Raiders practice Sunday.

DHB also dropped his first ever training camp target a few days ago. On Sunday, the No. 7 overall pick let one deep pass clank off both his hands, dropped another over the middle, and let yet another slide out of his clutch on a short target while looking to turn up field. Welcome to the bigs, rook.

1 DAY LATER...

Darrius Heyward-Bey-WR-Raiders Aug. 3 - 8:03 pm et

First-round pick Darrius Heyward-Bey had four drops in Raiders practice Monday, according to beat writer David White.

"At least Chaz (Schilens) looks great," White compensates. We rarely do daily practice reports, but early impressions of Heyward-Bey's camp have been horrific. He was also drop prone during OTAs before straining his hamstring.

Raiders first-round pick Darrius Heyward-Bey dropped three more passes during a one-on-one drill Tuesday morning.

DHB is off to a horrendous start. At least the rookie "seems to run routes well enough," beat writer David White says. Yeah, and so could Troy Williamson.

Poor Raiders fans look like they got the next Troy Williamson. May want to take the Under on season wins.

No, but at least he sure looks good getting off of the bus. This pick made no sense then, makes less sense now. Raiders can't seem to get out of their own way.

Is anyone surprised?

not at all because the scouting report on him was that he had small hands.....anyway i am glad okland got him instead of the giants, who supposedly were going to pick him if he was available...

DAvis has destroyed this team. Going to Oakland is like getting free pay, because no one going to give it 110%. The attitude is "If we win, we win. If we lose, who cares". Just look in the stadium and the city they play in. That alone should tell you about the mentality of the Raider ownership. Going from Los Angeles back to Oakland is like the Giants or Jets moving to Brooklyn.
