I just tried this one called St Pauli Girl (Brewed in Germany). It's not cheap, but the best I've tasted to date.

What others are out there ("Special Dark") brews are there? I didn't see any others available?

A delightful dark amber color, and a great frothy head. When poured a generous sized head formed, and it wasn't the really fizzy carbonated bubbles, it was a nice thick frothy head. It took a little while to dissipate as well.

Once you drink a Bell's Kalamazoo Stout, you won't look at Guiness the same way.

St. Pauli Dark is good, so is Becks dark.

Love Guinness. Love Murphy's Stout even more.

Best beer I've ever tasted in my life, though, was Guinness that was only a few hours old served fresh in Dublin.

Yes indeed. I ran around for two weeks traveling through Ireland a few years back and Guiness is indeed the best.
