Rail,
With all due respect one-size-fits-all solutions to poker are impossible to come up with especially in a NL game. Too much depends on your table image, your stack against the opponent, your recent history, his ability to read your intentions, etc. I remember doing exactly what you said at a game not too long ago. The guy had QQ and I had AA. He bet out twice, decent sized bets, with a J being high on the board. River came and I went all-in, which was about the size of the pot at the time. The guy huddled for a minute and then folded, showing the QQ as he folded and got all the opponents saying "what did you do that for?". I was about to get up so I didn't worry too much about my giving away info so I showed them my AA and they all howled and said that is why the guy I beat out of that pot was the best player of the NL game there (Oceans 11). I ran into him the next day as I was going to play 20-40 and he talked about that hand. I said, "I made a mistake not going all-in on the turn" and he said "100% correct". He had reason to think I was on a draw on the turn, or even a bluff. Most players will bluff early, few will bluff at the end. Someone that waits it out until the end and then a card that might make some kind of draw gets there has a hard time being called.
