LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - So far, no reports of injuries or deaths after a tornado hit parts of Little Rock, Arkansas, and its suburbs Thursday night.
The storm damaged businesses and downed trees and power lines.
The National Weather Service says a tornado passed directly over its offices at the North Little Rock Airport. An Arkansas emergency management spokeswoman says there are reports of damage at the airport.
The National Weather Service says the storm damaged a car dealership and a mobile home park near Benton, southwest of Little Rock. And it downed power lines and trees farther southwest on I-30. After hitting Little Rock, the storm moved into the city's northeastern suburbs.
Another storm was reported later near Hot Springs, about 40 miles southwest of Little Rock.
As early as last weekend, forecasters were warning of a severe weather outbreak Thursday night.
