im furious about this. I had some Funny cide tickets up for sale. triple crown collecting is really really hot. WHAM 30 minutes ago toey cancel all of these (a few are up but 100's are not there any more)

they just said that no bidding and no selling
of these $2 win tickets they are gambling related. yet there is nothing in the rules on their site that says 2 win tickets (uncashed). That is like saying you cant acution off a Derby Glass or a Derby program.

What is the world comming to?

How is this gambling. they say you cant gambling stuff on EBAT. Like you cant sell Lottery tickets on EBAy for example as its a assummed risk and gambling (like if a different state has a huge carryover you cant sell tickets on EBAY). OK thats gambling

But to kill a $2 win ticket from Funny cide or from Smarty Jones from the Kentucky Derby how is that a gamble? The event has happened.

Maybe all the aucitons selling a $2 win ticket to the Belmont is technically a gamble but the people buying are not gambling they are just wanting a part of horse racing history.

They are missing the point.

They aren't missing the point, you guys are.

EBay and Paypal are a multi-million dollar business. While legally they could probably still deal with "gambling-related" items, even stuff like the tickets you mention that fall into a legal "grey area", why would they even bother to take that risk?

If I recall correctly Paypal took a lot of heat some time back about the amount of gambling transactions it handled.

If I were running a multi-million dollar company, I'd steer as far clear from grey area stuff like gambling as much as I could.
