Was leaning towards Dallas on this one but price is kinda dodgy and I'm kinda wondering if they could cover -1.5? I also see that the ML is -170 but Dallas at -1 is at +106. Are the books saying Dallas wins but in OT?

i'm saying dallas wins in regulation and maybe by two...
the books don't know any better than we do..
if you like it, play it!

Stars are looking for their first win this season, and at home against a team they've traditionally had success against, it seems like a good time to get that first one..
plus they lost @ nashville just recently, so there's some redemption to be had tonight.

Goaltender Dan Ellis, a second-round pick of the Stars in 2000, made 23 saves to beat the Blackhawks on Monday. He has allowed only three goals in his last two games after surrendering five in a season-opening loss to the St. Louis Blues.

Ellis is 2-0-0 with a 0.50 goals-against average and one shutout in his career against Dallas at the American Airlines Center.

* Dallas note - Home favs of -170 with a total of 5 are 17-2 ats in the last 3 seasons.

you could make an arguement for both sides.....

Stat trend on Home favs is from statfox - ats means -.5

gl with your play

Jason Arnott is out for Nashville.... btw...

I know goalies and if J. Arnott is out that could mess with a goalie's concentration for the game having one of your key players missing. I would lean towards Dallas.

It's been a tough month for Predators center Jason Arnott. First, his house suffered $100,000 in damage after a fire tore through the roof and the main wall. Now, he finds himself sidelined for at least three games with a broken bone in his right hand. Arnott, who has had a quick start with two goals and two assists in his first two games, and appears to have found a rhythm with linemate J.P. Dumont, will miss Wednesday night's game at Dallas and both games against the Columbus Blue Jackets this weekend.

Its actually on the ticker on ESPN on TV... as well
