dont get too worked up over this win on the lakers... lakers just had a tough game last night against the spurs on a back to back and are still missing 2 of our really key guys Odom and Brown... dont forget we also ended their 13 game win streak without those 2 in LA not too long ago

A tired Lakers team still scored 95 points tonight. The big difference in this game was offensive rebounds by the Mavs, not their defense.

Nobody is getting worked up but you. Lakers are a playoff team, will they lose in the first round? Yes. They arn't contenders this year, how about YOU don't get worked up.

Losing Brown might be the best thing that could have happened to this Laker squad. I love Bynums potentional. Dude was born in 1987, thats so chill to see. That makes him 19 and he has NO muscle, he also consistantly has a look of perplexion on his face. Why is that chill to see? Becauise he's just going up.

This experiance he's gaining as a starter right now gives the Lakers the oppurtunity to be a SERIOUS contender NEXT year. Bynum needs to hit the weight room hard and become more of a presense. He's 7`0 280 and walks around like he's 6`5 230 on the court. Experiance will give him confidance which will give him a presense on the court and enhance his game. Anyone who says the Lakers are a contender this year are joking themselves and anyone who wants Brown back arn't looking forward until next season when you can actually win something.

I think the Rockets could be a tough team to beat in the playoffs - don't forget Dallas has won nothing so far - ever.

are you serious? The Lakers were destroyed going up for layups and dunks all night long....Dallas gives up more points but scores more points, giving up 95 doesn't mean anything....the lakers average 104.8 PPG, so in fact Dallas did a great job holding them 10 points under their average...they blocked or altered numerous easy buckets all night long....they played a great defensive game when it mattered.

why is it that a team who played the night before is automatically considered 'a tired team' ? both teams played 4 games in 6 nights...if it were that easy we'd all just take the team who didn't play the night before...

I've seen the Lakers play better on the back end in the same exact situation.

I agree Dallas is he team to beat. it is very close though and many teams are right there. Phoenix and San Antonio are right there. Dallas somtimes struggles mightily on offense especially in Dirk is off on that evening. THey might have learned their lesson well last year (are you listening Charger fans...this is what your team needs to do) and that could pay dividends in May and June.

I wouldn't put too much on Laker's performance last night. It's hard to come out of Texas Two Steps on back to back games with 2-0. I bet if the Mavs had to play Spurs and Lakers back to back they would've performed poorly the second game too.

As for Kwame, I'm actually impresses by his growth this season. He's becoming a solid defender. He finally realize he's quick enough to guard any pf in the west and also has the body to bang with the best centers out west.

Lakers is my darkhorse team this year. Once Odom and Kwame comes back they can be REALLY scary. Dallas better hope they can win it this year because the Lakers dynasty is right on their heels!!!

yes indeed, as long as we are healthy in the playoffs, no one should want to play us. People continue to sleep on Houston, T-Mac finally says his back is good (missed last game more of a precaution on the b2b) and Yao will be back in a month. #1 defense in the league btw.

Them and PHX are the only teams that worry the Lakers right now... I would say the suns are more dangerous to the lakers then the mavs because of the style of play and matchups..

Journeyman.. I know its annoying that the team playing the night before is automatically considered 'a tired team' but in this case you refernce excellent low post play and low post defence... again I must state we are missing our two best post players at this moment.. If we had Odom to gaurd Dirk instead of Cook/ Turiaf it would have been a different story, not to mention Kwame muscling dampier/diop out of the way instead of bynum getting pushed over

San Antonio has quickly become a dinosaur..I could be wrong but they look ancient, Finley and Horry especially, shells of their former selves, plus Manu is not played up to his past level..Duncan not have his best year either.

I do recall Dallas blocking some shots but I saw the Lakers' offensive drought as more of a factor of their sloppy play. Dallas is a good defensive team considering they score so much. I believe they average giving up 90 ppg.

They dominated the post against Lakers back ups... Odom has the body to do a solid job defending Dirk as quick and almost as tall..... Kwame has become a solid post defender...

Can anyone believe that the Lakers are 26-14 with LO being out over a month?

Duncan is still Duncan - the most important player in terms of winning it all - Manu is a playoff player - Horry and Finley look done though - Parker has gotten better - they missed out huge last year with Barry for JR Smith falling through.
