<!-- Quick Adsense Wordpress Plugin: http://quicksense.net/ --> When the Dallas Cowboys headed back home from their training camp facility in Oxnard, California, one of the questions asked was how rookie Dak Prescott would do in game two. The game he had in Los Angeles against the Rams was remarkable.
How do you make an encore on a 10-for12, 139 yard, 2 touchdowns, and 154.5 QB rating performance? How about a 12-for-15, 199 yards, 2 touchdown, and a perfect 158.3 QB rating, along with 2 scores on the ground? That is a ridiculous rating and game for a rookie in back-to-back games to start his young career.
Sure you can say that he played against a lot of second string players, but these are NFL caliber players that he is doing this against, even if they are second stringers. Let’s also not forget that he did play against starters in both games too.
This kid is making all the throws and putting them in spots where only his receiver can catch them. The 28-yard strike to Bryant was a nice pitch and catch by both Prescott and Dez, but the 1-yard pass to Brice Butler for the score was perfect.
The touchdown to Butler was a nicely thrown back shoulder pass by Dak, but to get to that spot may have been even better. The throw before the touchdown was a 58-yard bomb that was a dime throw to Butler to get them to the 1-yard line; the ball was in the air for 63 yards////
The skill set that we are seeing from Prescott has simply put all the thoughts of bringing a veteran in to compete for the backup job to rest. There is no way that this team brings someone to mess with the mind of the young rookie. He has earned the job and simply took it and ran away from anyone trying to catch him.
It’s time to put all the thoughts and rumors of a veteran coming to Dallas to bed, Dak is the real deal!
