is an absolute must read for any poker player, and even if you dont play poker I would still read it. everyone who gambles should have the type of confidence that guy has when they go to do what they are doing.

I liked that article very much wil, if I was in a dorm room I'd probably have a snip of what he said pasted on the wall.

the daily reporter is really good, if you get bored waiting for updates in the forum stop over there and check out some of those articles. there are some really good reads over there you wouldnt normally run into on your own.

Cubs Fine Sosa for Leaving Game

CHICAGO (Reuters) - The Chicago Cubs have fined Sammy Sosa a club-record $87,400 -- one day's pay -- for leaving the team's last game shortly after it began.



"The action Sammy took was indefensible, and I feel this is an appropriate fine," club general manager Jim Hendry said. "He should have been willing to stay with his team mates and dress in his uniform like everyone else did."



The club reviewed tapes from security cameras that showed Sosa leaving Chicago's Wrigley Field 15 minutes after the start of Sunday's game against the Atlanta Braves. Sosa was not scheduled to start the meaningless season finale.



He later told the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper he was tired of being blamed for the club's failures by manager Dusty Baker, who replied he had never blamed Sosa and instead supported him.



Sosa's production fell off this year and ended with 35 home runs, 80 runs batted in, and a .253 batting average -- his lowest average since 1997.

The only player with three 60-homer seasons, he is seventh on Major League Baseball's all-time list with 574 home runs.



The disagreement and the Cubs' late-season fade that cost them any chance at the National League's wild card raised the prospect that Sosa, a fan favorite, might be traded.

But finding a team willing to take him may be difficult given his contract. He will be paid $17 million salary next season and a club-option $18 million in 2006, which kicks in automatically if he is traded. <!-- article text ends -->
