After a pretty "hectic day" yesterday.. I somehow escaped with Washington, Texas A&M, Stanford, Notre Dame, California and OKL/BYU Under all hitting for us!! BUUTTTTTT, the majority of our $$$ was on UTEP and Arizona!! Go Figure. Zona has it 1st and goal from the 1 with 30 seconds left and they just kneel it for the W (which gives me a L, haha) oh well though, thats betting. I am from a little south of the New Orleans area, and got to hear all the talk about how LSU was going to DEMOLISH this Washington team that was 0-12 last year. I even had a few buddies, drunken obviously, give me Washington +24 and LSU team total over 42?!?!?! Of course I took advantage of both.. After all was said and done, I was up $1400. ($500 on my 5 wins each and $800 on my 2 loses. This puts me up $840. Counting my dumbass friends stupid lines ($300 each way), put me up $1440 to be exact. Well I am putting $1200 of these winnings on 1 game on Sunday. I will be taking Ole Miss -17 (buy the hook) over Memphis. Ole Miss is returning a team loaded and ready to make a serious run at the BCS title game this year. I know that they are yet to prove the #8 pre-season ranking, but a thrashing of Texas Tech and a 6-0 record to end the season gives them ample reasons to make a statement today! They outscored their opponents during their 6 game win streak an average of 37-13. Thats 24, which is plenty enough for me. On the other hand, Memphis ALSO brings back a fairly experienced team. They return most of their top guys on offensive. Last year Ole Miss posted a 17 point victory (41-24). This year they travel to Memphis. I will give Memphis the advantage of, "maybe" keeping it close, during the 1st half. After this, the adrenaline will have worn off and abililty will shine. My friend this is where Jevan Snead will SHINE!!! Houston Nutt always has his team ready for battle, and with the mighty OKLAHOMA losing yesterday, don't think that Nutt won't use that as a tool to get these cats pumped the fuck up (excuse my language but I am getting pumped thinking about the speech he will give!!) I also know that getting 17 points at home is extremely attractive, but sometimes you have to realize the talent is lopsided and that 17 is a gift. I am not saying that 17 is a gift but I am predicting a 27+ point victory.

It helps extremely much in my factoring of this game that Ole Miss gets to play today and not yesterday. For certain they watched Ohio State, Iowa, LSU and Oklahoma all get either scared shitless at one point, or beaten outright! Now that Ole Miss has their highest ranking in the last 40 years, dont expect this SEC team to relinquish this opportunity to a lower caliber opponent. I expect Ole Miss to roll and roll big here.!!!!

I just think that Memphis will be outplayed, outcoached and outclassed today. Jevan Snead makes his Heisman statement today. (Not that I think he will win it but he will "plead his case" today. If you want to give the Heisman out early, go ahead and mail it to Stillwater, Oklahoma -- care of Dez Bryant..)

Ole Miss 48
Memphis 17

OVER 54.5

** I am also taking the Over for a nice lil chunk too. Looks easy (which means it won't be at all!! LOL**

***Let me know what you guys think. I would NEVER wager this % of my bankroll (winnings) on 1 game but its week 1, crazier shit has happened!!***

Let's all do something special this year and bring home the FOOTBALL MONIES!!!! HAHA

Good luck to EVERYONE throughout the season...

I really LOVE the Mississippi play today. Houston Nut is a helluva coach. I agree 100% with your assessment. Lay the 17 to 17.5! Should be a 24 to 28 point victory.

Best of luck today and the remainder of the season. :toast:

no, because before the game had started i liked the number 54, with more public money coming in on under, the line has risen to 55. Adding more value with possible reverse line movement, being that only two games on the card theyre likely to get bet heavier and for people that are chasing. I see almost the same kind of game last year, maybe more of a scare for ole miss, 38 - 23
