Seems wrong to just offer up the info to anyone. I figure there are ownership changes more than we know, but to just sell this info in auction format is another bad mark on the business. Shows another example in lack of privacy.

that would really piss me off. i always get a ton of junk from different places that i did not ever know existed. i hate all that junk mail.

1) It's not like an auction, because thre is no guarantee that there is only one copy/sale. 10 places might buy this same list.

2) What is the source? Were the "top" customers removed and withheld by the original owners?

3) What is something like this worth, per player? I've seen a database with 40,000 players, but there were less than 2000 active players. Many had long since left, or signed up under new name, or signed up 10 accounts during a free $25 promotion (and played out the free $25, but never deposited).
