Only 7-8 starts remaining, including SD, @SD, STL, @LA, Cin, SF, @STL, and maybe COL at the end. Lincecum and Volquez are young arms on crap teams and may get rested down the stretch. Aaron Cook is on a non-contender. Dempster is the only competition left, but he's sitting on 13-5 record, compared to 18-4.

dempster actually good if AZ misses the playoffs and webb doesnt hit 20 or 21 i woulda Z but his last put him way out of it and theres no way lincecum or cook could
