Jay Cutler leaves takes over the Chicago Bears after leaving Denver while Matt Cassel Leaves New England and heads to the Chiefs in the AFC West where Cutler just departed.

Which one do you think will find their change to be for the best this season?

Cutler with Bears....in a walk

Matt Cassel last season had league's worst completion percentage inside the red zone. Hard to see how it will get any better in KC.

I'd be stunned if he tossed more than 16 TDs

NEVER FINISH OVER .500

he is the worst QB all-time period ATS bar-none way above the curve--- research it, take your blinders off.

Yeah he will beat the lions 2 times a year, but thats it.

First of all, judging a QB on how his team does ATS for a few years is a bit nutty. Are you aware of just how godawful Denver's defense was last season? Worst D in the AFC. Just maybe that had something to do with it. It's a miracle they even won 8 games.

I am about 65% sure the Bears will finish over .500 this season.

Not saying the Bears have a very good defense, but Denver's was bad. Lack of a consistent running game didn't help either.

I'd take Cutler individually and team over Cassel and the Chiefs..While I don't care for demeanor, that arm strength has to be worth something...

Cassel reminds me of Scott Mitchell several years back, think he's just a one year wonder who benefitted throwing to moss and welker...

Orton will be the real winner in all of this.

He gets what Cutler had in a great O-line & quality targets.
He gets what Cassell had in a McD run offense.

I think Simms will utlimately be the QB in Denver. Orton may have targets but he just cannot make throws downfield. At all.

Orton's numbers are going to go up quite a bit and Cutler's will go down quite a bit.

My prediction is Orton will be benched (or injured) no later than halfway through the season. He has 0 mobility, very weak arm and no accuracy beyond 10 yards. Other than than he's a winner. I got Denver winning 6 games, tops.

Cutler's no Comeback Kid

Posted by Bob LeGere on Tue, 11/24/2009 - 02:13
Not that I'm keeping track or anything, but Sunday night's loss to the Eagles was the second game in a row that "franchise quarterback" Jay Cutler had a chance to lead a fourth-quarter comeback and came up short.
That makes four times this season that Cutler has had an opportunity to lead the Bears to a game-winning or game-tying touchdown in the fourth quarter but didn’t get it done. To be fair, Cutler was instrumental in leading fourth-quarter comeback wins against the Steelers and Seahawks.
But after the Eagles went ahead 24-20 Sunday night with 5:31 left, the Bears failed to get a first down for the third straight possession. Then, when they got the ball back with 1:51 left, Cutler picked up 1 first down before he was intercepted trying to force a ball into Greg Olsen who was tightly covered.
In the previous game, the loss to the 49ers in San Francisco, Cutler and the Bears went three-and-out immediately after falling behind 10-6 with 10:11 left. They got one more chance, but Cutler was picked off in the end zone, again trying to get the ball to Olsen.
In Week Six, Cutler led a 92-yard, fourth-quarter drive that tied the Falcons 14-14. But, after Atlanta went back ahead 21-14 with 3:06 left, Cutler and the Bears went 78 yards but gave the ball up on downs at the Falcons’ 10-yard line with 29 seconds left. In fairness to Cutler, the Bears committed 3 offensive penalties in the final 65 seconds of that game, which hindered the final drive.
And let’s not forget the season opener. With 1:11 left, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers connected with Greg Jennings for a 50-yard TD and a 21-15 lead after the 2-point conversion. Cutler’s first pass after the kickoff was intercepted by Al Harris. Game over.
