Chicago was a darkhorse but that's the report coming out. No word yet on what is going the other way.

WoW! Obviously a good move for the Bears. Orton is never going to be a top-tier QB anywhere. Now the Bears just need to get someone for Cutler to throw the ball to.

Doesn't seem steep at all. A #18 pick this year, next year likely mid to late 1st rounder, swapping a 3rd rounder for a 5th rounder and of course dumping Orton. 2 mid first round picks basically. That's a steal for a pro-bowl QB.

Mr Leisure - Sid Luckman still owns the Bears yardage records, and he retired about 1950, 14,000 career yards.

I can't believe it. :103631605

Seems like a pretty steep price to pay IMO, when Orton was starting to look pretty darn good last year.

Definitely happy to get Cutler, don't get me wrong, but CHI defense needs some serious help and they may have shot that to hell by dumping draft picks.

Orton proved last year he will never be anything special. 2 mid to late first rounders is not steep at all. A complete steal. You have a chance to get what could well be a franchise QB you do it. I think they can get enough from the D the next couple years. Priority #1 will be to get someone for Cutler to throw the ball to.

The Bears have sucked with there first round picks, so I do not see this to be to steep. He has at least 10 more years in him if he stays healthy. And Orton could not throw more than about 20 yards. They still need to get a top reciever for him to throw to, but it is a great start, and could be excellent long term.
