Im really starting to like the cubs for tonights game. Cubs and Cardinals bats have both been hot but the cubs got the better pitcher on the mound. Has been on a pitch count for his past two starts and i highly doubt he will go past the sixth inning in tonights game. Dempster has been lights out at home this year 10-2 with a 2.70 era and a 1.15whip. His whip is even better in night games. Cubs shouldnt have trouble tonight since they pound the ball at home. Ankiel is also out for tonights game. About to pull the trigger just waiting to see the lineups. Lets Go Cubbiesope:

Fade Lang is on the Cubs RL and he is perfect today so he is due for a loss.

looking at the fact they lost big yesterday. Milwaukee won. Dempster's home record. and Cardinals shabby bullpen. Only variable I see in Cards favor is Carpenter unknown factor and hot lineup. Could see St.Louis winning but feel if the Cubs win they win big. If St.Louis was a bigger underdog would definitely take a shot.

How can you not like St Louis tonight? They destroyed Z yesterday, now they get to face an average pitcher who has been pitching waaay over his head this year and is fairly bad against the Cards. They have the waaaay better pitcher on the mound in Chris Carpenter who owns the Cubs. Plus, they need to keep pace with the Brewers, who won today.
