I went to the Homerun Contest when the All Star game was in my hometown of Pgh, and got tickets for me and my wife after it started right in front of the gate. I bought an All-Star hat and had a blast.W/the All-Star game, the only part that I am truly interested in is the introductions. The game is what it is, an exhibition.
Given that I go to a couple of dozen Yanks games/year, I want to be able to say I was there. Bottom line, I should pocket the $600, sit back on my couch and watch it in HD (and be subjected to Yankee haters Joe Buck and Tim McCarver). I think I am just getting caught up in the HYPE.
She would love it, I know my wife did, and she doesn't really like MLB.Maybe I will focus on the HR derby b/c my wife enjoys watching it every year, so she would probably enjoy the contest more than Tuesday's game.
Good thing we listened to Einstein tonight !!:toast:
