Artie, if I were you you, i would get the tickets from a scalper. I have a rule with buying tickets; whatever you see them for online you can get for 10% at the game. $2000 for Ohio State - Notre dame two years ago at the Fiesta Bowl, $200 at the game. LSU-Ohio State last year, $2500 online, $200 at the game. USC-Oklahoma $1000 online, $100 at the game. Be patient and you will get the best price. Just my thoughts, enjoy the game.

I buy scalped tickets all the time Artie. If you wait until the game starts, you can get most tickets at face value right outside the stadium.
Most scalpers buy tickets off people who've got free tickets from their company and had someone cancel, so basically the sell those tickets for face value. The seller is happy just to make an extra $40-$300 that the didn't have to begin with.
You can find those people also, if you look for them.
W/the All-Star game, the only part that I am truly interested in is the introductions. The game is what it is, an exhibition.
Given that I go to a couple of dozen Yanks games/year, I want to be able to say I was there. Bottom line, I should pocket the $600, sit back on my couch and watch it in HD (and be subjected to Yankee haters Joe Buck and Tim McCarver). I think I am just getting caught up in the HYPE.
