dont like this idea at all.....
If you arent gonna have Zambo winning at least 14-15 games this year, you arent going anywhere anyway...
Kidman was right, after first rough outing, he has been fine, and looked REAL good Monday.....
The cubs problem is not their pitching (although i know they have had 7-8th inning issues) their problem is getting a friggin hit with men on base......i have seen them leave more men on 3rd with 1 out this year, than all of last year total it seems.....
If there are 2 outs, then 2 guys will get back to back hits, and next guy strikes out......so they get 2 hits in inning, NO RUNS.....if they get first man on, then next guy hits into double play.......last night, they get 2 on, 1 out, and get a runner picked off 2nd.....they just arent palying smart ball right now.....they are better than this...might not be better than the Cardinals, but they are better than they are showing....Byrd was a nice addition, Lee hitting well....Ramirez starting off slow, but you KNOW he will hit....Nady is a nice player, Soriano showing some pop again, Theriot is very dependable, good on base man, and Fontenot hitting very well....
they just arent hitting at the right time....
I would rather they put Gorzelany in the bullpen to add another lefty, unless he just adamant about not doing it.....leave the rotation as Zambo, Dempster, Lilly, Wells and Silva.....when someone gets hurt, you have Gorzy to step in, or even Marshall, who i have been touting for 2 years now, as a starter......this kid is a good pitcher, and with a chance would make a nice 4th/5th starter......
