Milton has done well in 3 of his last 4 outings but he was hit hard last april at Wrigley Field. Plus, he might not last long in a hot and humid day (90 degrees).

Maddux is 6 Ks away from the 3,000 mark and 1 victory to tie Gaylord Perry's 314 wins. Cubs bats were silenced by Harang on wednesday but should come alive today.

Cubs -1.5 (+118)

And the Yankees

Yankees are hot. They finally get the winning streak they were looking for and look like the team to beat again. Johnson lowered his ERA in his last 3-4 starts and should be able to complete the game today.

Angels will be happy to go back on the road next week. For some reason, they haven't done too well at home recently. Colon's last outings against the Mariners and the Twins were disastrous and he will now face one of the best offensive teams. He gave up 10 runs (5 unearned) on 5 hits and 3 walks in less than 5 innings last april in the Bronx. They'll have a better chance with Lackey tomorrow against Leiter.

Yankees -1.5 (+149)

I have a strong lean towards the Reds. Home team with all their power may give Maddux some fits. He often struggles with power team which is exactly what the Reds are with Dunn,Pena,Griffey,Lopez, etc. Cubs will be caught looking ahead as well as their inconsistent ways will pop up their ugly head again.

Good point, Kojak. Maddux lasted 8 innings in his last 2 starts but he's usually a 6-inning starter. He tends to allow HRs quite a lot but I believe he will do better than Milton. I think the Cubs should get to him in the first 3 innings.

Maddux looked great in his last outing. He deserved to win that game but got 0 runs of support. He gets an easy one today.
