That certainly puts the Cubs in a bind. Lee will be a free agent at the conclusion of this season and he'd draw a decent package of prospects if moved before Saturday's non-waiver deadline. The Cubs are 10 games back in the NL Central and would probably like to get some value for the 34-year-old former slugger. But he has full power over any trade and it will not matter if GM Jim Hendry decides to label his club as "sellers."
