Going on a cruise in December. I have been on cruises before but last time was like 13 years ago and I forget if catching NFL games was an issue or not. I do remember being able to watch some games but I feel as though there was like one TV and not alot of options. Can anyone refresh my memory as to the availability of watching football on the boat?

Most cruises have satellite tv so you should be ok.

Cowboys fan, so that will be my main concern. We leave on the 26th, so hoping to catch that game on the boat. We return the 1st, so probably will DVR that Cowboys game.

I did carnival last November. They will show 1 game at 1pm and 1 game at 4pm.

They will also show sunday, monday, and thursday nite football.

I remember with college football, they showed a bunch of games on espn and cbs

Your fukked.. you wont see shit,, carnival had nothing at all,, (I was on carnival 3 years ago),

Norweigan (2 years ago) had a 3rd rate sports channel, that focused on biking and soccer,,, no real scores,,,

to be honest, if you know your ships name you can call their 1800 number and they will know.. but your gonna have to pay for the internet package.

Guess it depends if you are going on a newer boat or not. I know newer boats have more tv's. It was weird b/c i couldnt get espn in my room but was able to watch at the casino or sportsbar. You may want to go on cruise message boards (cruise critic) to get your answer

ive been on 2 cruises in the last 10 years and both showed the nfl games. In your room or at a sports bar. I would not worry about it. One was carnival and one was royal carribean.
You won't be the only ones wanting to watch them

The NFL will be there when you get back. Screw football. Get out and see the world.

where will you be docked on Football Sunday?

do some trip research, maybe there is a place in port like a casino that would have it.

If you're going in December, who knows how the cowboys are going to be anyway? If they are 4-10, then are u really going to care about the game?

On the day you leave, your best bet is to suck it up and get scoring updates on your phone. Embarkation day is fun and heptic and the last thing u wanna do is sit around and watch football (i could understand if u wanted to watch the game on day 2 when its a day at sea).

I'm going on a cruise in a few months when the dolphins play the jets. I have tix to the game and the port is less than 30 min away. I have no problem missing the game, eating, drinking, playing with my kids, and checking my phone every so often for the score.

I've learned in the past few years that your favorite team doesnt give 2 fucks about you so u might as well enjoy your life.

Yes, I care about Cowboys games even when they are 4-10. I understand what you are saying about enjoying life, thing is, watching football/Cowboys is part of what I enjoy in life. Going with my Wife and 3 kids and family friends. The only 3 in the whole group that will care about FB is My Wife, My Son and Myself, so it's not like I would be abandoning the family for the TV. We'll see, not gonna worry about it.
