And just what is that suppose to mean? Do tell, because as it stands, it makes no sense at all. Just what do you know about the line, other than the obvious?

If you have to ask, you need to get out of the business.

I have been in the business a lot longer than you, and I will guarantee you that I have made a lot more money than you, if you have made any money at all. Now if you want to challenge me, it is 1 large per wager. I name the wagers, because I do not need people like you telling me who or what to wager on. You have the option of accepting or refusing the wager.

First wager. I will give you 5/1 and say that the next NC does not come from the Big 10. That means I get every other conference, BCS and non BCS. Now Mr. Big 10 homer, deal or no deal? You have 24 hours to respond.

5/1 would have quite a significant -EV...I'm not sure why you would think anyone would take you up on that bet.

was thinking the exact same thing...
don't do me any favors offering me 5-1
the two favs in the conference are around 12-1 and 30-1 and there are 4 teams listed w/ shorter odds than the first b10 team...
you could just couple oh st and psu and get 6-1 or 15-1 which prorates to about 10-1
getting the other 9 teams in your play doesn't do much as they all have to play one if not both of the top two teams anyway
if a sportsbook posted a "no b10 team to win NC" prop it would be more than -500 to play the "no"

BP: Are you a sooner fan or a cowboy fan. What part of OKla are you from, I am from OKC myself. Also what are your takes on the OU/BYU and Geo/OSU matchups. Just interested.

NW OKC. I graduated from OU, but I'm a fan of no one. I wager for a living. Oklahoma State is getting WAY too much love. Good Luck

The OSU game is strange but certain things set up with it being a first week home affair against a Geo offense that may be feeling it's way.
I know they are working out hard in their new S & C center and Gundy has come down on them hard about their lack of toughness in the bowl game.
I very seldom go with the Pokes but this is a very big game for them and Young should help on defense. I actually think OSU might pop Texas at home this year so beating Geo at that point of the season is not out of the question. With people like me who have been taken for a ride with the cowboys before I am as slow on the draw as Pistol Pete when it comes to betting them normally. Ever go to BWW on the NW Hway?

you think -3 at home opening day is WAY too much love??
or are you referring to big picture?
i got them 60-1 for NC but at those odds it's more about the price than anything for me

trentmoney, at 60-1, you might be able to do some serious hedging(must beat Georgia). Real openers(CRIS) aren't up yet, but with all the pre-season fanfare, -3 looks a little cheap. I saw where Georgia lost an O-lineman last week, and Ok St had a couple newbies get caught with weed. With all the distractions kids have today, wagering on college games in late July can be hazardous to your bankroll and mental health. You are forced to stick close to your keyboard. d1g1t At my age, I prefer to let the season come to me. You seem to show some outstanding insight, and usually stay ahead of the #s. Good Luck

i was basing -3 on the "Games of the Year" lines...
UGA did lose an O-Lineman but bc of all the injuries last 2 seasons they have a lot of depth so it shouldn't be a big deal...he was a starter/reserve so it hurts their depth but not much other wise

i just think that UGA defense is going to have to win this game for them, and i'm not ready to give them that much respect...their secondary is not too impressive and ok st is diverse enough to keep them off balance...and as bad as ok st defense looked at times last yr, they did hold mizzou to 23 on the road and texas to 28 on the road as well...can UGA defense hold cowboys to less than 28 or can UGA offense put up more than 24?? i would lean to "no" and "no" at this point...

And this isn't a big game for Georgia? Don't get too one sided with your thinking on this game. My bet is the game means just as much to the Dawgs as it does to the Pokes.

It was only two years ago that Georgia opened -7.5, and got bet down to 5, and the Pokes(Aggies) got there asses handed to them. Ever hear of a deer in the headlights? Ok St has never been good when they go up in class. That's a fact!

I think the main problem that OSU is going to have in this game is they haven't faced this good of a running team before. Nobody in the Big 12 last season was what I would call a great power running team. The Big 12 is now a pass first conference. The only good running team that OSU faced last season was in their bowl game with Oregon where they gave up 42.. And I guarantee you that along with a good running game, Georgia also has a better defense than Oregon. This is a game where you better not let your emotions or your home cookin' get in the way of your handicapping. I guarantee you nobody wants to lose their first game of the season. Georgia will be just as high for this game as OSU.

Did not say it wasn't a big game for Georgia, you put those words in my mouth. If this was being played in Georgia it might be a different story though. I am seeing some factors in this game that favor OSU. I never said I was too one sided, you did. I considered the Georgia factors too. If you think there are so many Georgia pluses list them all and I will reply back. I am not an OSU homer, seldom bet them, but I will be on them in this one. Could be the only time I will bet them this year unless Texas goes into Stillwater a favorite. Did you watch the Georgia spring game?
